We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Business Development to drive growth and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the automotive or technology industry



But that's not all! You'll also:





  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion



  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends through market research, analysis, and collaboration with internal stakeholders



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers within the automotive ecosystem, including OEMs, suppliers, and technology partners



  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential partners and customers to secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, and engineering to develop compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies



  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and optimization



  • Represent Cerence at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and establish thought leadership in the market







Who you are:





  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred





  • 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales roles within the automotive or technology industry



  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and establishing strategic partnerships with OEMs, suppliers, and technology partners



  • Strong understanding of the automotive ecosystem, including market dynamics, industry trends, and key players



  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization



  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and prioritize opportunities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment



  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving innovation and growth
