Position Summary
This position coordinates and schedules exams and diagnostic procedures into the radiology scheduling system. This may include scheduling Radiologists, Technologists, rooms, equipment and sedation services as applicable. Will work as a liaison between physicians, nursing floors, clinics, nursing staff, patients and the service department to provide accurate and complete schedules for diagnostic procedures. Additionally, will provide instruction to patients regarding procedural preparation and wayfinding. The Radiology Scheduler will also obtain and verify all registration information and perform necessary prior authorizations as needed.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred completion of health unit coordinator or administrative medical program or two years of medical office (hospital clerical support experience)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 1+ year related experience that includes patient registration, insurance processing or appointment scheduling
- Proficient in computer functions, data entry and windows platform required
