About Nira Energy

Nira's mission is to convert the US power grid to be 100% fossil-free.

Nira is a software platform that helps renewable energy developers (solar/wind) find the most profitable land to build new projects.

We focus on estimating the cost to interconnect with the electrical grid (aka the Interconnection Process). Depending on where developers connect, they may be on the hook to pay millions of dollars to upgrade power lines, substations etc.

We are profitable!

What you'll do

As a Talent Acquisition Associate at Nira, you’ll focus on sourcing and identifying top talent for our engineering, product, and sales teams—zeroing in on people who are not only qualified, but exceptional. You’ll search high and low for people who identify with our mission and core values and possess extraordinary technical abilities.

You’ll report to our Talent Lead and spend most of your time sorting resumes, identifying strong candidate profiles, and sending thoughtful outbound messages to engage top talent. You’ll also work to quickly understand the roles you're sourcing for and learn what great looks like across different functions.

You will possess a relentless drive to succeed and improve efficiencies. You will stop at nothing to ensure that your targets are hit, and you will view calls with candidates that are not ultimately hired as a good opportunity to network and not wasted time- providing both candidates and hiring managers with prompt and candid feedback.

About You

  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in recruiting or staffing (in-house or agency).
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Resides in Los Angeles (the job is remote, but you must be willing to cowork with the Talent Lead two days per week early on / one day per week in perpetuity).
  • Top tier communication skills and a natural ability to make candidates comfortable.
  • Extremely hungry to learn and succeed.
  • Quickly learns from mistakes and iterates.
  • Highly coachable and adaptable, and don’t take professional feedback personally.
  • Picks up new (especially technical) concepts quickly and asks the right questions to get up to speed.
  • Persistent, organized and methodical in your approach to sourcing.
  • Takes full ownership and stays accountable to deeply focused work in a remote environment with few KPIs.
