Permanent position, Full-time
The Business Development Manager - Alternative Channels will direclty manage and grow strategic partnerships with multiple accounts (alternative and specialty channels of trade) for their assigned territory. Responsibilities include devleoping and executing strategies to meet and exceed market share goals, sales targets, and related KPIs for assigned accounts. As a Business Development Manager, you will develop strong relationships with assigned retail customers, develope accurate sales forecasts, create annual and joint business plans, and use data to maximize business for HARIBO of America and the assigned accounts/customers/terrritory.
This is a remote, field-based position that requires up to 40% travel, across the United States, with overnight stays. The Business Development Manager - Alternative Channels position requires at least three (3) or more years of strategic sales and business development experience specifically within the CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Additonally, prior experinece partnering with Brokers, experience with headquarters calls, and a Bachelor's Degree is required.
Responsiblities
Target Hiring Pay Range: $115,000 - $135,000 annually
This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting. Please note, a candidate’s offered annual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and the geographical location of the role.

Responsiblities
- Develop and execute strategies and plans to meet, or exceed, assigned sales goals for assigned accounts/customers/territory
- Own, manage, and develop strong customer (retailer) relationships for assigned business accounts for HARIBO of America within the Alternative and Specialty channel of trade
- Partner with Brokers and Distributors. Lead, collaborate, and hold Brokers accountable for business plans within your assigned territory
- Leverage our product mix to improve profitablity and meet customer and shopper targets
- Use data and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits
- Partner and work cross-functionally with internal teams including Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Commercialization, and other internal stakeholders
- 3+ years of strategic account sales experience within the CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or other field
- 1+ years of experience utilizing and analyzing syndicated data such as IRI, Circana, Nielsen, Spins, Numerator, etc
- Prior experience with headquarter calls
- This is a remote, field-based position that requires the ability to travel up to 40% of the time, nationwide, with overnight stays
- 5+ years of strategic account sales experience within the CPG industry
- Prior experience in FMCG - Fast Moving Consumer Goods
- Prior experinece in the candy, confectionery, or salty snacks industry
- Prior experience partnering with Brokers
- Prior experience with multiple channels of trade / customers
- Prior experience with Alternative and/or Specialty channels
