About the Role: Commerical Development Associate (North America)
We're looking for a driven and curious Commercial Development Associate to help bring our groundbreaking technology to life science innovators across North America. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team and play a key role in shaping how our platform is adopted by researchers, biotech startups, and pharmaceutical leaders.
Location: Remote (East Coast preferred: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Raleigh)
Travel: Up to 60%
Reports to: Associate Director of Commercial Development

What you'll do:
- Sales & Business Development: Own the full sales cycle—from identifying leads to closing deals—with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
- Customer Success: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they're supported and informed as their needs evolve.
- Product Expertise: Stay current on our platform's capabilities and communicate its value clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead Generation: Use a mix of outreach strategies (email, networking, events) to identify new opportunities and grow our presence.
- Account Mapping: Research and prioritize key accounts and decision-makers in your territory.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities to support data-driven decision-making.
- Industry Events: Represent Lightcast at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build awareness and generate leads.
- MSc or PhD in Biology, Immunology, or a related life sciences field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a customer-facing role (sales, business development, or similar).
- Familiarity with techniques such as fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, antibody discovery/development, or cell therapy.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 60%) and a valid driver's license.
