Position Summary
SAP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Operations Associate to join our growing development team. Reporting to the Director of Development, this role will provide critical administrative, research, and coordination support across all aspects of SAP’s fundraising operations. The Development Operations Associate will play an integral role in maintaining and strengthening SAP’s fundraising infrastructure, ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and funders are engaged through timely, thoughtful communication and stewardship. This is a temporary role expected to last approximately 12 months with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on organizational needs and performance.

Critical Qualifications:
Student Achievement Partners offers a competitive salary commensurate with experiences. The salary range for this position is $50,000-$65,000 (based on 30 hour/wk). Additionally, Student Achievement Partners is a remote organization that provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes unlimited vacation time, unlimited sick days, professional development funds, medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA, and an employer-sponsored 401k retirement plan.

Key Responsibilities
Proposal and Project Coordination
- Support the development team in coordinating timelines and organizing materials for proposals and reports
- Help format and proofread grant submissions and donor-facing materials for clarity and consistency
- Track submission deadlines and ensure all documents and attachments are properly prepared and filed
- Enter and update records in CRM and internal dashboards to track donor activity, proposal progress, and stewardship milestones
- Help maintain development calendars, tracking deliverables and important deadlines
- Run simple reports to support planning and internal check-ins
- Conduct internet-based research to identify new funder prospects and update existing funder profiles with current information
- Compile background information on foundations or key contacts to support team preparation for meetings and outreach
- Help maintain and organize a library of research findings, reference materials, and internal files
- Assist in preparing thank-you letters, email drafts, and periodic updates for funders
- Support the formatting and visual preparation of donor decks and briefings using templates
- Help manage the team’s shared folders, templates, and development resource library
- Schedule internal and external meetings, send calendar invites, and help prepare agendas or briefing docs when needed
- Take notes during team meetings or funder check-ins and help track action items and next steps
- Coordinate with team members across SAP to gather content or updates needed for donor communications

- 2+ years of experience in an administrative, nonprofit, development, or related professional setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, documents, and online tools like Google Workspace
- Ability to manage time, follow through on tasks, and seek support when needed
- A commitment to SAP’s mission and an interest in learning more about education equity and nonprofit fundraising
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Asana, or other task management software
- Experience conducting online research or supporting fundraising communications
- Comfort working with templates and simple formatting in Google Slides or Canva
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with curiosity and eagerness to grow
