Hiring from: Canada
At Juno Veterinary, we are on a mission to ensure every pet and Juno team member has the support they need to thrive. Our ultimate vision is to establish a stellar standard for the veterinary industry; the Juno standard of care. We are seeking to challenge a traditional industry by establishing the Juno standard of care across Canada not just for our Members and their pets, but also for our team of veterinary professionals as they are at the heart of everything we do. We are just getting started and we cannot wait to meet you.
We are assembling a team of innovative thinkers across consumer-tech and veterinary medicine to build a new experience for consumers and providers. We are looking for someone who shares our vision and YOU want to be a major part of shaping the future with Juno. We are looking for someone who loves the idea of building something new, contributing to the Mission, and being part of an early-stage company committed to making a positive impact.
Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are the veterinarian's primary medical support and play a vital role within the practice. RVTs must value the quality of care we provide at Juno Veterinary and communicate it to clients. The Virtual Team RVT plays a unique role in aiding the veterinarians and in-clinic care team in achieving greater efficiency in overall patient care.
Role Overview:
Virtual Team RVTs will apply their previously developed professional technical skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory testing, patient nursing care, and client education in order to virtually assist clients via online chat or phone call. They advise clients on various subjects from minor questions and concerns to post-operative issues, and any other questions that may arise.
The Virtual Team RVT is responsible for effectively triaging pets, determining whether they require emergency care with a larger referral hospital, same-day or next-day urgent care appointment with Juno Veterinary, or if at-home care can be implemented with their recommendations. The Virtual Team RVT is also responsible for submitting requests for prescription refills. The team works closely with the in-clinic team to ensure high quality and continuous care, and RVTs need to communicate clearly with the veterinarians, other practice personnel, as well as with clients to ensure that patients receive the care that they need. The RVT must be a detail-oriented person who can make good decisions, respond quickly and calmly to crises, and always maintain high standards of patient care.
This often requires significant multi-tasking and a creative thinking ability. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to set a good example, promote a positive work environment, and provide direction and motivation to coworkers are important aspects of the position.
Please note this position is for 'Evenings & After-Hours' only; Shifts will be 02:00p - 12:00a EST // 04:00p - 12:00a EST; 4-on // 4-off [option of 8 or 10 hour shifts]. Weekends and Holidays will be included in this shift rotation.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with a team of skilled and passionate virtual RVTs to support our Members and team members in providing the Juno standard of care. More details below.
Responsibilities Include:
We're looking for people who are not just team players, but also leaders. If you've made it this far, you're probably looking for something different than what's already out there. So were we — let's meet.
