Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy. Ensure alignment of product initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Agile Product Development: Lead and manage the Agile product development process, ensuring smooth execution of sprints, prioritizing features, and ensuring team focus on delivering high-value outcomes.
  • Backlog Management: Create, manage, and prioritize the product backlog, making sure it is clear, actionable, and aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, development teams, and customers to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and ensure that product goals are met.
  • Release Planning: Work with engineering teams to define release plans, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of product features. Ensure that each release delivers high-quality and impactful features.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing sprint retrospectives and making adjustments to improve product development processes and team efficiency.
  • Customer Focus: Regularly interact with customers and users to gather feedback and understand their pain points, ensuring the product evolves to meet their needs.
  • Metrics & KPIs: Define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement. Utilize data to make informed product decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure successful product delivery and go-to-market strategies.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competitor products, and market demands. Ensure that the product evolves in line with market needs and opportunities.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Considerations: Ensure that the product meets any legal, regulatory, or industry compliance standards where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, PSPO, PMI-ACP, CPO).
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally in an Agile environment, with a solid understanding of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong experience in and understanding of product lifecycle management, from ideation to execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
  • Familiarity with product management and Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Productboard / Aha!)
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to gather, prioritize, and act on customer feedback.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and using analytics to inform product strategy.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align product vision with broader business goals.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based platforms, APIs, or web services. Prior experience with these technologies is a bonus.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:
