Job Description:



Support mission-critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as a Finance Manager at GDIT. Working on the Finance team, you’ll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation

As a Finance Manager, you will be supporting the HHS Other Business Area and leading a best in class team to drive superior financial performance. You will be responsible for a ~$100M portfolio with ~25 programs within HHS, along with people management responsibilities



Responsibilities:


  • Oversees all financial planning and reporting activities, including the annual planning cycles and building accurate forecasts.

  • Approves contracts, asset acquisitions, expenditures and headcount against approved plans.

  • Continuously seeks out opportunities for customer experience improvements and cost reduction, and partnering with operations leadership to implement the opportunities.

  • Manages and develops financial models for planning, forecasting, and reporting costs and efficiency.

  • Performs root cause analysis and uncovers core issues using data, then assisting the Operations on improving and creating new measures.

  • Responsible for budget planning, and supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

  • Collaborate across organizations/functions including sales, operations, line of business and project management

  • Manage revenue and cost adjustment submission, ensuring accuracy and review of proper backup information

  • Provide financial leadership to the business, helping drive profitable growth.



  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as other government regulations.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Drive cash collection and maintain investment forecast




Required Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting or relevant experience

  • 2+ years of experience working in government contracting industry

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Familiar with FAR regulations

  • Familiar with Oracle Projects

  • Ability to present monthly financials to executive staff across organization

  • Experience working cross functional teams including government customer, billing, receivables, and contracts

  • Ability to multi-task across multiple programs

  • Aptitude for leading and training a small team of financial analysts

  • May be required to attend quarterly meetings in Falls Church or local GDIT office

The likely salary range for this position is $104,000 - $156,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range
