Malanai is seeking a Director of Cyber and Data Analytics Business Development with experience successfully leading and growing high-visibility, mission-focused, enterprise technology transformation programs focused within the Department of Defense (DoD). This highly visible position will work across Malanai to develop strategies that drive business growth to include strategic opportunities and program delivery focused on the DoD cyber and data analytics market. The candidate will be responsible for cyber business development strategy, planning, and execution. The successful candidate will demonstrate the experience necessary to manage the full scope of business practices including market alignment, business development, opportunity pipeline development and sustainment, client development and management, and proposal development support responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be able to leverage a deep mission understanding of DoD customers’ needs and objectives focused in the areas of cybersecurity, digital modernization, and data analytics.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Responsibilities are primarily focused on being an individual contributor, but it is important to be able to work in a team setting and leverage the skills of other team members throughout the organization.

  • Leverage existing customer relationships and establish and cultivate new relationships with key DoD clients and related entities.

  • Ensure that appropriate strategic alliances are formed with other organizations (internal and external) to support client missions and growth goals.

  • Lead responses to proposals and other responses within the RFI, RFQ, or RFP process.

  • In-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and existing contracts within the DoD Marketplace.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:



Skills:



  • Extensive experience (minimum 4 years) selling or supporting solutions to the DoD, within the area of cyber security.

  • Understanding the full business development lifecycle and has been successful in various customer domains within the federal markets.

  • Proactive, organized, aggressive, and highly skilled professional.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, while maintaining a positive attitude, strong drive for results.

  • Collaborative and proactive work across Malanai and the NOK family to achieve broader company growth objectives while maintaining connectivity to the program/contract executing managers.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.

  • Be clearly conversant with enterprise IT, Cyber, Unified Network Operations, (e.g. network, cyber, data science, data management, data analytics) and their benefits to the DoD.

  • Be results driven, participating in all aspects of a complete capture that results in the award of programs.

  • Work well in a highly productive, highly accountable, small team environment.

  • Have a proven record of successful shaping of technical opportunities in the DoD.

  • Have a proven record of executing unique approaches to lead generation and business growth.


Qualifications:



  • 4+ years’ experience with the DoD sales cycle and shaping technical opportunities (e.g. software development, data analysis, IT, cybersecurity, data analytics etc.) within this space.

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills working with technical leaders and business executives that build long-term relationships.

  • Working knowledge of DoD missions, cultures, organizational components, leadership, major programs, challenges, and buying trends.

  • Track record of successfully capturing and winning multi-year new business RFPs.

  • Established relationships with DoD clients, stakeholders, and influencers, with demonstrated ability to develop and foster new relationships.

  • Experience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition officials.
