This position is for you! Our dispatcher reports directly to the Terminal Manager. The position is responsible for dispatching drivers and equipment in an efficient and economical way while meeting our customer needs through superior customer service.
Caron is currently recruiting for a Dispatcher for our Sherwood Park Terminal.
- Do you understand Federal Hours of Service
- Are you analytical with an investigative mind
- Are you mechanically inclined
- Are you able to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers
- Do you have experience with incident reporting
- Have you worked with Samsara, AXON or Stellar - this is a small sample of the dynamic work you will be engaged in
- You will be on call weekly, with a premium paid (sharing on-call responsibilities with terminal support)
- You will perform all assigned tasks in accordance with the Caron QMS and production standards required by the Company and the industry as a whole
- Participate in safety related compliance, regulatory programs and education
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- High School/GED
- Must have 2+ years of directly related experience in bulk commodities transportation
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products
- Experience working with EDI software on a regular basis is an asset
