Essential Duties And Responsibilities
General Function: Create the bottom panel by attaching the bottom velour to the border. Sew border and may need to include sewing in the law tag and hanging label
Specific Responsibilities:
- Obtain border and panel from storage racks
- Sew border, including sewing in the law tag
- Cut thread as necessary and push completed piece to sort and match
- Inspect stitching to detect defects and repair accordingly
- Report machine issues that are causing defects to Supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness in work area
- Perform related duties as assigned
Experience/Education
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Basic math skills
- Previous sewing machine experience in an industrial setting
- Attention to detail is a must
- Produce at a level to maintain integrity of Make-To-Order system
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively in a safe manner
