Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We are preparing to support a young woman in the New Tripoli, PA area who has both complex medical and behavioral needs. This is a rural location, and the ideal candidates will be younger, outgoing females with experience supporting individuals with behavioral and complex medical needs.
We are looking for either one full-time DSP to cover all five days or two part-time DSPs to split the Monday–Friday schedule. If you are compassionate, reliable, and looking for meaningful work where you can make a real difference, we would love to meet you.

What You’ll Do
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody’s life. Responsibilities will include:
- Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
- Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
- Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
- Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
- Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
- Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
- Complete documentation and maintain schedules
- Complete ongoing training and professional development
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (6 hours per day)
- One full-time DSP covering all 5 days
- OR two part-time DSPs (one covering 2 days, the other covering 3 days)

- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
- Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
- Experience with behavioral and complex medical needs strongly preferred
Pay
Starting Pay: $19.50–$25.00/hour
