- Participate in the continuous improvement of the Health, Safety and Environment programs as well as NTPC’s safety culture.
- Assists Project Managers and drafting to produce complete and accurate project records including IFC drawings, Redline drawings, as-built drawings, manuals and reports.
- Provides administration support to the Projects and Engineering division by scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, and reconciling purchasing card transactions.
- Also provides logistics support to the Projects and Engineering division which includes arranging travel, shipping and general coordination support.
- Assist the Projects and Engineering division managers with preparing reports on projects including current and projected information on scope, schedule, cost, design, and construction progress.
- Assists in project management by performing project field inspections and construction.
- Proposes solutions to problems that arise during construction.
- Participates in commissioning of new installations.
- Other duties as required.
- Diploma in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or related technology is required with at least two (2) year's experience in supporting project teams in an industrial or utility setting. Project delivery experience in an engineering organization is preferred. Equivalencies may be considered.
- Above average computer knowledge and experience using spreadsheets, database, word processing, project scheduling and other related software packages. Good keyboarding skills is essential.
- Working knowledge of construction projects including design, implementation and commission phases is required.
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively project team members.
- A full and valid class 5 driver's license is required.
- The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal records check.
