Position Overview
The Aftersales Parts Support Specialist is responsible for first-level parts support and all parts topics in the PLA region. The individual serves as the expert and liaison between Porsche Centers / importers and Porsche AG on these matters. This requires a high degree of troubleshooting skills while overseeing the entire logistic chain from central warehouse Germany, through several logistic providers for sea-/ air- and express logistics to the warehouses at importer and dealer level, including monitoring of local market parts warehouse inventories. The function includes campaign parts management, which directly influences new car sales. The individual is also responsible for supporting parts homologation in alignment with the PLA Homologation Manager in collaboration with respective PAG departments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Parts Operations & Market Support
- Provide first-level support for parts-related inquiries via the ticketing system (PRMS), including:
- Backorders and logistics tracking
- Parts number and pricing issues
- Support importers and dealers on supplier-related topics (e.g., tires, oil)
- Deliver training and system support for SAP, logistics tools, and parts catalogues
- Implement and maintain regional parts pricing strategies
- Coach markets on pricing processes and ensure timely pricing updates
- Contribute to achieving regional parts revenue targets
- Inventory Management & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze market performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Monitor and ensure parts service levels exceed 90%
- Balance inventory levels to optimize availability and stock turnover
- Track stock mix and recommend adjustments to improve profitability
- Produce monthly reporting on logistics, inventory, and benchmarking
- Monitor parts delivery performance (quality and quantity) and resolve supply chain issues
- Support KPI tracking and action planning with Aftersales leadership
- Campaign Parts Management
- Coordinate availability and ordering of campaign parts with Porsche AG
- Track campaign execution to ensure high vehicle completion rates
- Maintain and update market communication platforms
- Oversee parts-related recalls and ensure timely resolution
- Parts Homologation & Compliance
- Support parts homologation processes in line with local regulations
- Coordinate with Porsche AG and regional homologation teams
- Guide markets on certification and compliance requirements
- Manage regional battery disposal and recycling initiatives
- Projects & Operational Support
- Create and supervise initial parts stock orders (PINS) for new importers and dealers as well as new models
- Facilitate and coordinate volume parts buyback program from PAG
- Coordinate and organize regional workshops, trainings and conferences for parts topics
- Conduct strategic projects with PAG/markets that enhance parts business (US Hub)
- Partake and present in PAG and PLA conferences and Aftersales Operations Forum to discuss market issues and new projects
- Backup function
- Aftersales PPN Support back up for warranty/technical support specialist
- Ensure special tool and workshop equipment supply to markets (backup of technical support)
Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the automotive industry
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management
- Experience working with manufacturers or importers preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent in English and Spanish (German is a plus)
- Advanced organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Customer-focused mindset
- Coaching and mentoring capability
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Schedule/Shift: Position is based in Miami, FL
The salary range for this role is $67,000 to $77,000 per year. However, it is important to note that at Porsche compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset.
Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
