Position: GIS Research Analyst
Type: Contract

Role Responsibilities
- Work asynchronously with a team of highly qualified experts in your domain.
- Craft geospatial analysis tasks involving zoning database searches, parcel data extraction, and spatial data retrieval across government GIS portals.
- Create detailed evaluation rubrics for AI agent performance.
- Contribute subject matter expertise to a cutting-edge project involving frontier large language models.
- Develop high-quality, challenging problems with real-world applicability to inform the future of AI innovation.
Must-Have
- Master's degree or PhD in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in spatial analysis, urban planning, or geospatial data science.
- Experience with GIS platforms and government spatial databases (USGS, Census Bureau, local planning portals, ArcGIS, QGIS).
- High attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia.
- Early December; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Complete a short interview to assess your domain expertise.
