The Health Care Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales objectives in an assigned territory through the development, maintenance, and growth of business relationships with primary care customers. These customers include General Practitioners, affiliated health professionals, and select specialists.
The role is focused on product knowledge, effective detailing, and driving appropriate prescribing through clinical and value-based conversations. The Health Care Sales Representative will execute territory business plans, deliver high-quality promotional interactions, and work collaboratively with sales leadership to maximize the impact of sales and marketing strategies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with targeted General Practitioners, affiliated health professionals, and select specialists, focusing on the promotion of Tolmar products.
- Create, maintain, and grow sales within a designated territory by maximizing appropriate use of Tolmar products among the targeted audience.
- Call on prescribing health care providers within the assigned territory to deliver effective, compliant, and value-driven product information.
- Execute territory business plans aligned with national and regional sales objectives.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and effectively communicate approved clinical, therapeutic, disease state, and product information.
- Successfully promote the appropriate on-label use of approved products.
- Develop and deliver impactful sales presentations tailored to individual customer needs to support prescribing decisions.
- Evaluate and monitor sales data and performance reports regularly to manage business priorities and identify opportunities.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM database to document sales call activity, insights, trends, future objectives, and overall territory performance.
- Complete routine reports accurately and in a timely manner, in compliance with company, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage call activity and territory routing to ensure optimal coverage and efficient use of time in the field.
- Attend and represent the Company at local, regional, or national meetings and events, as appropriate.
- Attend and travel for Company meetings, training sessions, and sales conferences.
- Manage usage and inventory of approved promotional materials in a compliant manner.
- Abide by Administrative Expectations as defined by Sales SOPs, including timely submission of expense reports, CRM call entry, company vehicle mileage reporting, and adherence to fleet maintenance requirements.
- Manage promotional budgets responsibly and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Partner effectively with internal teams, including Sales Management, Marketing, and Medical Affairs, to support execution of sales initiatives.
- Abide by the Company’s email, communication, and compliance SOPs.
- Responsible for reporting Adverse Events and Technical Complaints to Tolmar Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety (PSSP) in accordance with SOP-00821, Pharmacovigilance and Technical Complaint Reporting.
- Perform various other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in science, business or related field.
- Two or more years of successful sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Ability to be approved and insured to drive company car including valid driver’s license and good driving history
- Reside centrally within the territory
- Office environment; requiring sitting and standing.
- Overnight travel is required up to 20%.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Travel by air as required.
- Availability to work extra hours and on weekends as necessary.
Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidates qualifications and experience.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between ($80,000 and $100,000/year); however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities.
