The Role_

// We’re looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to help design and scale the infrastructure that supports Masabi’s products and engineering teams.

This is a senior individual contributor role with a broad technical scope. You’ll focus on building and evolving reliable, scalable systems across infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and reliability. You'll collaborate with engineers across Masabi to improve how we deliver and run software.

Key Responsibilities_

Infrastructure and platform foundations

• Design and maintain infrastructure systems using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Puppet
• Evolve deployment workflows and support multi-region scaling
• Promote automation-first practices to improve consistency and reduce operational overhead

Delivery and developer experience

• Build and manage secure, efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Develop internal tools that enhance delivery speed and confidence
• Partner with product teams to integrate platform capabilities into development workflows

Observability and reliability

• Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, and alerting strategies aligned with engineering goals
• Maintain observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and Kibana
• Contribute to performance optimisation and capacity planning across systems

Technical collaboration and leadership

• Provide technical guidance within the platform team
• Share knowledge and support engineers working in infrastructure and reliability
• Help shape platform direction through planning and cross-team initiatives

About You_

• Solid experience in platform, infrastructure, or SRE roles in cloud-native environments
• Strong working knowledge of AWS, including security and networking
• Proficient with infrastructure-as-code and configuration tools such as Terraform and Puppet
• Skilled in CI/CD and automation practices that improve delivery efficiency
• Comfortable designing and using observability systems in production
• Communicates clearly and collaborates well across teams
• Approaches challenges with curiosity, initiative, and sound judgement
