IT Business Systems Analyst

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst to support a transformation project.

Responsibilities:

Detailed review of existing business requirements and technical current state documentation.

Collaborate with technical experts to gather input and insights for the development and refinement of Application & System requirements and standards.

Design and develop facilitation sessions to validate the existing requirements and collect net new business and information technology requirement, including gap analysis.

Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, integration diagrams, user guides, and training materials, to ensure seamless adoption of new technology.

Conduct comprehensive analysis of business and technical requirements to support the planning, management, and progression of the technical workstreams within the CIS project; recommend and implement solutions to achieve defined objectives, monitoring their effectiveness.

Collaborate closely with Clinical and Technical project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the CIS and changes to any downstream system, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.

Participate in meetings with clinical workgroups to understand workflow impacts and application dependencies.

Engage with business owners, operational leads, and vendors to gather required application information and confirm use cases.

Document and communicate stakeholder feedback, issues, and risks to the Application Lead.

Support preparation of readiness assessments, cutover plans, and configuration workbooks as directed by the Application Lead.

Support the Application Lead in preparing status reports and materials for governance committees.

Log and monitor risks, issues, and dependencies related to assigned applications in project management tools, with proposed mitigation actions.

Mandatory Requirements:

• A bachelor’s level University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as an IT Systems Analyst or IT Business Analyst responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing technical analysis documentation.
• Demonstrated experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst working with large, complex information systems and/or Clinical Information System implementation projects. Health projects are considered an asset.
• Demonstrated experience as an IT Analyst working on projects such as Application Upgrades, Application Consolidations, Application Enhancements, and new application implementations.

• Facilitation skills: demonstrated experience in leading workshops to identify and articulate business requirements, system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases.
• Demonstrated experience leading and producing business & system analysis documentation (e.g., business requirements, functional specifications, process diagrams, requirements traceability, SOPs, test plans, and test cases).
• Demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Application Support Role, specifically in a Health Care environment responsible for support & maintenance of Health Application Systems. Please provide specific examples of the types of Clinical Applications experienced with.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) in the work environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with two or more layers of the Application Technical Stack (such as programming languages, application architecture, Web/App Servers, Databases, Operating Systems, infrastructure, or middleware). Please state specific technical experience in these areas.
• Demonstrated experience in system integration, data migration, application configuration, and report development.
