Project Manager

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Project Manager to help with the current workload and project management. The PM will focus on project management, organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, change management, and internal coordination, leveraging ITIL, PMP, and ADKAR frameworks. Additionally, the PM will assist with coordinating process engineering and business architecture efforts to ensure seamless process integration and alignment with ServiceNow capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance within agreed time, cost, and performance parameters.
• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and budgetary requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, visual diagrams, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against established milestones.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and provide updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, project management tools, industry trends, and best practices in IT project management.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, fostering collaboration and a high-performance work environment.
• Facilitate effective communication and ensure stakeholders are informed about project status, risks, and changes.
• Support the development of project management procedures and tools, evaluate project outcomes, conduct post-implementation reviews, and identify lessons learned for future projects.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in a government or public sector environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and experience with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Proficiency in project management software, collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
  
  

Security Clearance

• Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Reliability level security clearance to commence work.
• CDIC will request the security clearance certificate for the successful resource from the Supply Arrangement Holder upon signature of the Task Authorization.
• A copy of the security clearance certificate is not required with the response to this Service Request.
• All proposed assigned persons must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
