The VP of Purchasing at House Buyers of America is a strategic and executive level role responsible for leading the purchasing department for the company. This entails managing and overseeing purchasing decisions and activities with the goal of promoting business growth and sustainability, reducing costs, and improving efficiency.

- Develop, implement and manage the overall purchasing strategy for the company
- Lead the purchasing function in all areas of business operations
- Work closely with department heads and upper-level management to meet company objectives and goals
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions
- Coordinate with inventory control and sales to determine and manage inventory requirements
- Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and vendors while aggressively seeking out new sourcing opportunities
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior purchasing management role
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent negotiation skills and strategic thinking abilities
- Experience with purchasing software and relevant IT systems
- Proven knowledge of supply chain and inventory management techniques
- Possession of a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification is highly desirable.
