As a Senior Content Designer, you’ll shape product experiences that touch millions of households, weaving clarity, warmth, and trust into every interaction. You’ll partner with designers, product managers, researchers, engineers, and data scientists to craft language that not only guides customers through grocery shopping but also reflects our commitment to Go Far Together, Roll Up Your Sleeves, and Grow the Pie.

About The Job
- Embed with feature teams on key product surfaces that onboard, engage, and retain shoppers of Instacart's fulfillment experience.
- Develop, ship, interpret results, and iterate on UX content that delivers measurable impact for product experiences.
- Craft AI system prompts that support greater personalization and scale content within the product.
- Utilize conversational design abilities that extend beyond making AI sound better—shape system prompts to influence behavior and deliver intuitive assistants that meet users' needs.
- Seamlessly collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product designers, product managers, engineers, data scientists, UX researchers, and other specialists.
- Create writing that expresses Instacart's product tone of voice and adheres to global content standards for UX writing, ensuring consistency with company voice.
- Share your work with the team, participate in constructive critique sessions, and offer feedback to peers.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience crafting content for web and mobile interfaces.
- Expert command of written language, storytelling, design thinking, and content frameworks that enable strong product experiences.
- Proven ability to translate product requirements, user insights, design strategy, and business goals into high-quality language frameworks and UX writing.
- Strong convictions around craft and quality in UX content, supported by a portfolio showcasing clear and effective writing.
- Skilled in presenting complex ideas simply and effectively through language.
- Confident and experienced with prompt engineering in current AI LLM models.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, practicing sound judgment with minimal oversight.
- Motivated to use AI to supercharge UX content production while maintaining quality.
- Strong understanding of information architecture and the intersection of visual design and language.
- High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Passion for supporting Instacart customers and enhancing their experience.
- Experience with a variety of content formats, including interfaces, microcopy, emails, notifications, and style guides.
- Portfolio showcasing a range of experiences and skills is a plus.
