Schedule: 4-day work week (36 hours)
Compensation: Competitive salary + annual profit share (based on company performance)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or electrical estimation, excellent communication skills, and an ability to manage complex renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems.

Location Options:
- On-site in Whitehorse, YT or Cobourg, ON,
- OR Remote anywhere in Canada, reporting to the Whitehorse head office.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and prepare accurate cost estimates for project proposals, tenders, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications to develop comprehensive bid estimates.
- Lead pricing efforts for medium to large projects (fixed-rate or time/material contracts).
- Perform quantity take-offs for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain up-to-date material and equipment pricing and account for escalation factors.
- Conduct detailed contract and spec reviews to determine overall project requirements.
- Coordinate with technical, design, and sales teams to ensure compliance with codes and client needs.
- Develop project schedules and identify key milestones.
- Solicit and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing; manage database of qualified vendors.
- Ensure bid submissions and scopes of work are complete, accurate, and competitive.
- Maintain and update the company's estimating cost database.
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification or Electrical Engineering diploma
- 6+ years of experience in construction or electrical cost estimation on complex, large-scale projects
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and cost management
- High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Understanding of contract terms, risks, and opportunities across delivery models
- Experience in solar, wind, or renewable energy projects
- Familiarity with industry codes and regulations
- AutoCAD or drafting experience (an asset)
- Background check
- Valid driver's license and minimum 3 years' claims-free driving history
