What you’ll do:
We’re seeking a creative and technically skilled Digital Graphic Designer with a strong emphasis on video-first content creation for social and digital platforms. This role is pivotal in shaping the visual storytelling of the iGUIDE brand, working closely with our Senior Graphic Designer and the broader Marketing team to produce compelling, on-brand content that drives engagement and elevates our digital presence.
Video Content Creation & Editing
- Own the end-to-end production of short-form video content using raw footage—editing, adding graphic treatments and optimizing for platform-specific performance.
- Collaborate on storyboarding, content capture, and final asset delivery for social and digital campaigns.
- Design motion graphics and animations for product demos, social media, and promotional content.
Static & Digital Asset Design
- Create visually impactful static assets for social media, email campaigns,
- website, and digital advertising.
- Develop infographics, iconography, and presentation materials that simplify complex ideas.
Social Media Optimization
- Design thumb-stopping content tailored for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, TikTok and YouTube.
- Stay ahead of social media trends and activate on emerging formats and visual styles.
- Maintain and evolve social media-specific visual guidelines in alignment with brand standards.
Collaboration & Planning
- Partner with the Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing team on monthly content calendars and campaign execution.
- Participate in creative ideation sessions and contribute to cross-functional projects.
- Ensure cohesive visual storytelling across integrated campaigns (digital, print, events, media).
Asset Management & Brand Consistency
- Organize and manage design files with proper version control.
- Uphold brand consistency across all visual touchpoints.
What we look for:
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design with a strong focus on social media content and video editing (Must have)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Experience with Canva, Figma, and native social media editing tools (e.g., TikTok, Instagram).
- Familiarity with AI tools that enhance creative workflows is a plus.
- Strong storytelling abilities through visuals, motion graphics, and video.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to brand guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Hybrid role working from the Planitar HQ 3 days weekly in Waterloo, ON.
Value additions:
- Knowledge of UX design principles and tools.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools like Canva, HubSpot, or WordPress.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation.
