The Opportunity

As Monstro's Senior Technical Recruiter, you will play a foundational role in shaping how we attract, evaluate, and hire world-class talent across engineering, AI, product, and beyond. This is not just a Recruiting role; it is an opportunity to design and execute the blueprint for how Monstro builds exceptional teams.

You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, owning the full recruiting lifecycle while building systems that scale with speed, precision, and quality. From talent mapping the most competitive tech markets to designing recruiting infrastructure, you will ensure Monstro consistently attracts the top 1% of talent across all disciplines.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth, high-accountability environments and is energized by the opportunity to build something new from the ground up. You will collaborate directly with Monstro's leadership team to drive hiring priorities, refine processes, and evolve the broader Talent and People function that supports our mission.

As one of the earliest members of the people team, you will not only fill critical roles but also build the foundation for Monstro's recruiting culture, systems, and brand. This means thinking beyond today's needs, designing scalable workflows, improving candidate experience, and leveraging AI tools to make hiring faster and smarter.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting Ownership
    • Lead end-to-end recruiting across Engineering, AI/ML, Infrastructure, Data, Architecture, and Product function and non-technical roles as needed
    • Own the entire candidate lifecycle, from sourcing to offer, including outreach, coordination, scheduling, and candidate experience.
    • Build and execute creative sourcing strategies that engage passive, top-tier candidates through multiple channels.
    • Develop and maintain deep talent maps and market intelligence to anticipate future hiring needs.
    • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience, driving transparency, responsiveness, and professionalism at every touchpoint
Recruiting Operations and Strategic Projects

  • Help build and refine Monstro's recruiting infrastructure, including ATS configuration, automations, templates, and analytics dashboards.
  • Assist in spearheading RecOps initiatives such as interview calibration, compensation frameworks, and offer standardization.
  • Follow hiring metrics and continuously optimize funnel efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Use AI tools and automation to reduce manual work and improve throughput.

Talent Function and HR Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Head of Talent to refine and scale Monstro's People Operations
  • Contribute to initiatives across all people functions, including HR
  • Build playbooks and documentation that enable repeatable, scalable hiring, onboarding, etc
  • Help design and launch Monstro's talent Brand - positioning us as an employer of choice!

Qualifications

  • 6 - 9 years of recruiting experience, with a mix of agency and in-house experience in high-growth startups.
  • Proven success hiring AI Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps, Data Engineers, and Architects.
  • Deep understanding of both sourcing strategy and candidate experience management.
  • Hands-on experience in Recruiting Operations, systems design, and analytics.
  • Track record of operating autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with clarity, directness, and professionalism.
  • High ownership mindset, resilience under pressure, and commitment to speed and quality.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI and modern recruiting tools (Gem, Greenhouse, Ashby, etc.) to maximize efficiency.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience building a recruiting function from scratch or being the first in-house recruiter at a startup.
  • Prior experience hiring in fintech, AI, or deep tech environments.
  • Familiarity with compensation benchmarking and market analysis for technical roles.
  • Exposure to People Ops or HR programs such as onboarding, performance, or culture initiatives
