The Senior QA Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful products that reflect the company’s values of excellence, collaboration, transparency, and empathy. This role requires strong autonomy, technical expertise, and the ability to handle complex testing tasks. While working independently on most project aspects, the QA Engineer actively collaborates with peers to deliver outstanding results and contributes significantly to the success of the team’s initiatives.
This is an 18-month fixed-term contract, with a preferred start date in September or October.

What You'll Do
- Own quality activities across multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Strong understanding of QA practices for data centric and integration heavy systems.
- Prioritize testing activities based on business value and project needs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot bugs and production incidents independently.
- Provide clear and timely communication on testing statuses, risks, blockers and quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
- Champion a Quality Assistance approach, shifting testing left in the Agile software development lifecycle.
- Design and implement test strategies and test plans for systems involving complex data syncs, marketing messages, player segmentation
- Review code changes for quality and testability prior to automation or manual testing.
- Evaluate and request mock services to enhance testability when needed.
- Monitor and maintain test automation pipelines, addressing flaky tests.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and marketing stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, production use cases and automation coverage.
- Perform on-call duties during regular business hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years as a QA Engineer, with experience in both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Manual & Automated Testing: Proficiency in test design, regression testing, and automation using Playwright and WebDriver IO.
- API & Backend Testing: Experience with Postman, REST Assured, and server-side validation.
- Front-End Testing: Expertise in cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Version Control: Strong Git experience (GitHub or Bitbucket).
- Database Validation: SQL query creation and data verification.
- Scripting: Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or Java for automation frameworks.
- Interrogation of SPLUNK logs
- Ability to take initiative, lead quality efforts from inception to delivery, and mentor junior team members.
- Strong communication and ability to proactively advocate for quality in a collaborative and constructive way
