Healthcare Ops Lead
JOBS by allUP
Full timeAbout our client
Pairtu was started after the founders fought the healthcare system for their own families. Arian's mom is beating pancreatic cancer today because he learned to navigate insurance rules nobody explains. The vision: everyone deserves that kind of advocacy.
Pairtu combines smart software with human advocates to guide Medicare patients through diagnoses, bills, and care plans. The team is focused and fewer than 15 in size, backed by investors from Omada, Oscar, and UnitedHealthcare, plus advisors from Oscar Health, One Medical, Ro, United, Uber, and Postmates.
The company moves fast with purpose, guided by conscious leadership and a commitment to getting things done. Pairtu is building in a fast-moving startup environment where ownership is essential and ambiguity is normal. Candidates who thrive solving problems without waiting for direction will fit right in.
Why This Role Matters
Pairtu is growing quickly, and that growth only works if operations are strong and reliable. As Healthcare Ops Lead, this person will build the internal plumbing that keeps everything running. They will make sure no patient falls through the cracks, no credentialing deadline gets missed, and no operational handoff gets dropped.
This is a hands-on role where the Healthcare Ops Lead will design the systems that let Pairtu scale. They will work directly on credentialing and payer contracting, but also create the repeatable processes that allow the company to grow without breaking. They will connect advocates, payers, and the leadership team, then step in themselves when something is broken and needs to be fixed.
What You'll Do
- Own credentialing and payer operations. Manage provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and compliance. Set up a clean system so contracts, licenses, and files are always audit ready.
- Build scalable processes. Design and document repeatable workflows for billing, scheduling, intake, and other core operations. Create systems that prevent issues instead of reacting to them.
- Be the connector. Coordinate across advocates, providers, and payers to resolve issues quickly. Turn leadership priorities into clear, actionable steps and track progress until things get done.
- Champion patient experience. Monitor every step of the patient journey and close gaps when something slips. Make sure every patient and partner has a smooth, high quality experience.
- Support leadership with data. Track key metrics across credentialing, throughput, and patient satisfaction. Prepare dashboards and briefings for internal and investor updates.
You're a Great Fit If You Have
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare operations. Bizops experience at a healthcare startup, provider network, top consulting firm or high-growth clinic preferred.
- Direct, hands-on experience with credentialing or payer enrollment, with a clear understanding of the details involved.
- A track record of building processes and systems from scratch that made a small team more scalable and reliable.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments where priorities shift quickly and clarity must be created.
- A hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up approach: problems are fixed directly, then processes are designed so the team does not run into the same problem again.
- Strong communication skills across many audiences, from patients to payers to internal teams.
- A mindset that blends operational excellence with the resourcefulness of an early-stage startup operator.
Bonus experience: Medicare or Medicaid populations, billing and coding processes, or supporting founders/executives in high-growth healthcare companies.
Success in 12 Months
All provider credentialing and payer contracts will be current and tracked in a clean, automated system. No patient will experience dropped operational handoffs. Operational processes will be documented, repeatable, and scalable. Leadership will spend more time on strategy because operational firefighting is off their plate.
The Package
- Base Salary: $120k–$180k
- Equity: 0.5%–1% ownership from Day 1
- Location: San Francisco Bay Area preferred; remote candidates willing to travel to the office twice monthly will be considered.
- Ownership: Direct visibility to the CEO and leadership team from Day 1.
