ORGANIZATION 


Based in Toronto, Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits is a Canadian charity, 100% volunteer-led that provides management consulting to improve organizational capacity and community impact for non-profits that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting. 


Endeavour has two consulting engagement rounds during the year, in the fall and in the spring. For each round, Endeavour will recruit and match teams of skilled volunteers with non-profit organizations in need of pro bono consulting. 


Since 2007, Endeavour has engaged more than 1000 volunteers on over 134 projects, delivering more than $8 million in pro bono consulting to local, national and international non-profits based in Canada. Endeavour’s partnerships with leading corporations in Canada offer pro bono and skills-based volunteering opportunities that contribute to employee engagement, professional and leadership development, talent retention and corporate responsibility goals.

ROLE: 


Join Our Senior Leadership Team as Vice-President of Learning & Engagement! Endeavour is seeking a creative thinker and passionate volunteer to lead the Learning & Engagement team and coordinate volunteer training sessions. If you are excited about exploring new ways to inspire and connect people, we want to hear from you! 


RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Provide ongoing strategic direction for volunteer training, engagement, and development initiatives across Endeavour. 
  • Lead and support the Learning & Engagement team, in identifying, discussing and implementing opportunities for volunteer experience improvement and ensuring alignment with Endeavour’s mission and goals. 
  • Oversee the design and delivery of Endeavour’s training and knowledge management programs, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation. 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and engagement programs in collaboration with the Evaluation team, using data to guide improvements. 
  • Ensure knowledge retention and transfer, working with the Consulting Division to capture insights and learnings from each project cycle. 
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with advisors, subject matter experts, and partner organizations to enhance learning and engagement offerings. 
  • Champion a culture of learning, professional development, and continuous improvement across the organization. 
  • Collaborate with other Vice-Presidents and the Executive Team to ensure cross-functional alignment and to contribute to organizational strategy and sustainability. 


As Vice-President, you will also be responsible for general management and leadership functions, including: 


  • Recruit, manage, and mentor direct reports within the division. 
  • Develop annual goals and support performance evaluations. 
  • Report divisional progress to the COO and contribute to policy development. ● Participate in regular leadership and cross-functional meetings. 


QUALIFICATIONS 


  • Previous Endeavour volunteer experience strongly preferred 
  • Experience leading a team in a volunteer and/or work environment 
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Availability to attend and facilitate educational sessions 
  • Ability to manage and promptly respond to daily email communications 
  • Great organizational and time management skills 
  • Proven stakeholder engagement experience 
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset 
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual work environment 
  • Minimum two year commitment
