Title: Title Examination Specialist


Location: Remote, Texas (Must reside in Texas)


This individual contributor role will search, analyze, and evaluate records on title for land, homes, and other buildings to ensure that the title to a property is free and clear of restrictions that may affect its sale or use.


As a dynamic and resourceful professional, we will rely on you to perform the following duties:

  • Examine and review searches of public records and examine titles to determine insurability condition of property title. Examine copies of records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books to determine ownership and legal restrictions and properly condition title to ensure a title insurance policy can be issued clear of all title defects.
  • Work with underwriters to determine requirements and exceptions for the development of the title commitment.
  • Process high volume and in a multi-state environment. Further review received in the Title Exam designated Inboxes to resolve any issues or discrepancies found or fulfill a client’s request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of title experience.
  • Title Producer License.
  • Ability to follow all company procedures and policies including meeting the company customer service expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High-level customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to productively interact with peers, customers, and management.
  • Mathematical acumen to analyze complex equations.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
