Job Details
The Durham District School Board acknowledges that many Indigenous Nations have longstanding relationships, both historic and modern, with the territories upon which our school board and schools are located. Today, this area is home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. We acknowledge that the Durham Region forms a part of the traditional and treaty territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, the Mississauga Peoples and the treaty territory of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation. It is on these ancestral and treaty lands that we teach, live and learn.

Durham Continuing Education is the Durham District School Board’s program for its adult daytime program as well as many continuing education programs. While the core business of Continuing Education is funded by the Ministry of Education, partnerships with MLITSD, IRCC, MCI and MCSS support Continuing Education programming.
Durham Continuing Education is looking to expand their eLearning offerings by seeking submissions for the following Subject areas:
Courses Must Meet The Following Parameters

- Senior Science
- Senior Math
- Senior English
- Senior Phys Ed
Courses Must Meet The Following Parameters
- Follow current MOE curriculum expectations
- Be divided into a unit-based course with lessons developed to cover those curriculum expectations
- Courses must be set up with 20 robust assessments, including a 1 or 2 part summative
- Course work must equate to 110 hours worth of student material
- Courses are delivered using the D2L platform – Google extensions are permitted but Google Classrooms are prohibited
- Courses must be able to accommodate the DCE continuous intake process
- Senior Qualifications for the course subject area you are applying for
- OCT registration in Good Standing
- Resume and cover letter indicating which course(s) you are interested in being considered for
- A detailed syllabus for each course you are wanting to be considered for
