Insurance Services
The Insurance Services Group at GEICO is seeking a Business Analytics Analyst to join the team. This position will prepare and analyze quote and sales performance by partner to monitor variances, identify trends and provide recommendations for assigned business partners. This role will report to the Strategy Manager and play a key role in supporting areas of GEICO that are poised to drive growth in the coming years. Collaboration, enthusiasm, a growth mindset, and ability to execute within tight timelines are essential for success in this role.
Under limited supervision, coordinates consistency of communication, online resources, and partner relationships regarding insurance services requirements and procedures.
EVALUATES underwriting and process changes made or proposed by partners. DETERMINES impact of changes on the agency or department metrics and RECOMMENDS type and method of communication and implementation to management.
COMMUNICATES changes to the Insurance Services department associates and management. REPORTS underwriting processing discrepancies to management and RECOMMENDS appropriate actions to resolve deficiencies.
DEVELOPS and REVISES procedures, to meet company and policy processing requirements and to comply with state laws and regulations. WORKS independently to create quality content to meet the needs of users and the business.
COLLABORATES with the Project Management Team to ensure new systems are successfully implemented with accurate partner underwriting guidelines incorporated.
ASSISTS in testing new applications, new state/policy forms for an existing partner, or new systems/applications. REVIEWS applications and forms to ensure proper functionality. ANALYZES underwriting guidelines for any significant differences between other states, partners, or policy forms and COMMUNICATES any differences along with possible procedural change to management.
ESTIMATES impact to department metrics of changes initiated by partners or the company, DRIVES improvement of metrics through a detailed communication plan, and MEASURES success after implementation of change with some support from the manager.
Requirements Of The Position
$73,800.00 - $141,450.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements Of The Position
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel including functions and pivot tables
- Familiarity with software such as Power BI/SharePoint
- Extensive experience analyzing data, identify trends, and providing data driven recommendations
- Must attain and maintain the required licenses issued by the state insurance department
- Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
