Join this national nonprofit organization on the ground floor. Our mission is to raise awareness of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), also known as Dyspraxia, an under-recognized but common neurodevelopmental condition that affects approximately 20 million Americans. DCD, which impacts coordination and movement, may be perceived as a “mild” condition; however, it can have negative effects on quality of life and mental health when left undiagnosed and untreated. This position could be an excellent growth opportunity for the right candidate.

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains, responds, and documents communications coming into the foundation via phone, website contacts, and other correspondence. Assists the organization in building its membership and donor base. Supports special events and work sessions as needed. In charge of creating and scheduling approved social media posts, while monitoring all foundation social media platforms to build the foundation’s social media’s presence and outreach. Works remotely from anywhere in United States; Eastern Time Zone is preferred.

Qualifications

  • One year of administrative experience required.
  • Proficiency in Google Workplace applications and Canva preferred.
  • Ability to plan, create, and post regularly on social media including Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities, Including But Not Limited To

  • Schedules and attends meetings, creates agendas, and takes meeting notes to be posted for review.
  • Answers email inquiries via the “Contact Us” button on the website.
  • Responds to phone calls coming into the Foundation and gives information to callers.
  • Works with word processing, spreadsheets, and database software to complete administrative tasks.
  • Works with the team to create on-brand social media posts to promote awareness and fundraising.
  • Schedules approved social media posts to be posted across platforms using Canva’s content planner or another system across platforms at least 3 times a week.
  • Monitors, responds to, and reports comments across social media platforms to the team.
  • Sends monthly website update requests to website administrator.
  • Reports user activity on website and social media.
