Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Mapping/GIS Analyst to join our dynamic Service Delivery team. As a Mapping Specialist at CENTEGIX, you will be at the forefront of enhancing our clients safety and security capabilities. Your role will integrate customers' Site Maps with CENTEGIX Safety Platform to ensure a seamless user experience in our Safety Blueprint product.

Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Mapping/GIS Analyst to join our dynamic Service Delivery team. As a Mapping Specialist at CENTEGIX, you will be at the forefront of enhancing our clients safety and security capabilities. Your role will integrate customers' Site Maps with CENTEGIX Safety Platform to ensure a seamless user experience in our Safety Blueprint product.
Position Responsibilities
- Map Design: Create and edit customized Safety Blueprint maps using the Geographic Information System (GIS) from customer provided source material. Performs data input using coordinate geometry, digitizing, file conversions, geoprocessing and georeferencing. Performs QA to ensure data accuracy after updating asset features and/or attributes.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for Project Management and Customer Support teams to provide advanced mapping support to diagnose and resolve mapping creation and augmentation issues. Collaborate with internal teams, including Project Management, Customer Support, Field Services, Sales, and Engineering, to address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, or issues in a timely and effective manner. Contribute to the development and improvement of our products and services by providing input on user requirements, system enhancements, and feature requests.
- Asset Tagging: visit customer sites as needed to conduct site walks to tag customer assets on their Site Maps. Demonstrate Safety Blueprint features and functionality to customers.
- Training and Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles on GIS tools and workflows. Conduct training sessions, both in-person and remote, on GIS-based tools to staff and customers.
- Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices in the field of safety and emergency response systems. Actively participate in training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance your technical skills and knowledge. Share your learnings and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography/GIS, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in GIS Applications
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of CAD, GIS, cartography and map maintenance and quality control.
- Experience with editing, versioning, validation and analysis tools in GIS software.
- Experience with Map Box and/or Nearmap a plus!
- Knowledge of project management roles and practices.
