Position Overview

The Provider Liaison plays a critical role in supporting and strengthening First Stop Health’s national network of healthcare providers. This role combines the detail-orientation and cross-functional coordination of provider operations with strategic relationship management to foster provider engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing both internal workflows and external partnerships in a virtual, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provider Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned providers across the network.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships to increase provider satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
  • Actively gather feedback from providers and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.

Provider Network Administration

  • Coordinate and execute onboarding tasks including training, credentialing handoffs, and initial communications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider records, including licenses, credentials, and documentation in internal systems.
  • Support offboarding processes including patient transition coordination and timely system access removal.

Scheduling & Capacity Support

  • Partner with providers to align availability with patient demand.
  • Monitor capacity, identify gaps, and support real-time scheduling needs and issue resolution.
  • Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts, last-minute changes, and ensure clear communication with affected stakeholders.

Provider Support & Communication

  • Triage and resolve provider inquiries through a centralized operations queue.
  • Promptly respond to inquiries and escalate complex issues to appropriate teams (e.g., compliance, credentialing, payroll, clinical leadership).
  • Identify, track, address and document recurring issues, updating provider-facing documentation and internal knowledge base resources.

Operational Excellence & Reporting

  • Collaborate with Finance and Payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payments are processed and issued to providers for services rendered.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to the continuous improvement of provider-related processes and tools.
  • Support, generate, and maintain reports on provider capacity, utilization, and compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, Public Health or related field

Experience

  • 4 years of experience in healthcare operations, provider support, or relationship management roles.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with CRM and scheduling platforms
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced virtual team environment
