Hiring from: United States
We’re seeking a full-time Accountant to join our lean and dynamic Finance team. This person will report directly to the VP of Finance and manage the day-to-day accounting operations while working cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting across emerging verticals. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role with broad exposure to the full financial landscape of a venture-backed hospitality technology company.
What you'll do:
Wander is building the infrastructure for the future of travel — combining a luxury short-term rental platform with proprietary software tools that power operations, elevate the guest experience, and create a seamless connection between supply and demand. We recently closed our Series B and are scaling across both our software and marketplace businesses.
What you'll do:
- Own daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Track capital expenditures and ensure spend stays aligned with budgets, especially as new homes and units come online
- Analyze financial performance at the home, unit, and company level, identifying trends and key drivers
- Partner with Product Engineering to develop and refine automated reporting solutions
- Support cash flow tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and process improvements across the finance function
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a fast-paced startup or real estate environment
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and FASB standards
- Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities independently in a remote, async-first team
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset; able to partner effectively across teams including Operations, Sales, and Engineering
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience working with property management systems, SaaS tools, or real estate/hospitality businesses
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar platforms
- Interest in continuous improvement and building systems from scratch
- Passion for Wander’s mission and vision — travel, tech, and transforming the way people live and work
