The Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract, engage, and hire top talent across the organization. This position will be responsible to source and hiring for clinical, administrative, and operational roles in a managed care environment. The TA Specialist will manage the relationship with hiring managers and human resources colleagues to ensure a seamless candidate experience, maintain accurate recruitment data, and lead the intern, fellow, and temporary staffing programs.
Qualifications
The following represents the typical way to achieve the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to qualify for this position:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and four (4) to six (6) years of experience as a full-cycle TA Specialist, full-cycle Corporate Recruiter or HR Generalist.
- Minimum two (2) years recruiting for roles in managed health care (e.g., health plans, provider networks, care coordination, utilization management).
- Or eight (8) to ten (10) years of working experience as a full-cycle TA Specialist, full-cycle Corporate Recruiter or HR Generalist.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in using ATS to manage the recruitment process efficiently.
- Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing and managing candidates.
- Advanced skills in managing interview logistics.
- Intermediate skill in managing the onboarding process for new hires.
- Intermediate skills in collecting and using data and analytics to improve recruitment strategies.
Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of managing employee data in an HRIS/ATS.
- Extensive knowledge of compliance requirements in recruitment/talent acquisition.
- Extensive knowledge of current trends and best practices in recruitment/talent acquisition.
- Extensive knowledge of strategies for sourcing candidates for multiple incumbent positions.
Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
- Demonstrated ability to address talent acquisition challenges and collaborate with hiring managers to make effective decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to current TA process.
- Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple job openings and recruitment tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing recruitment needs and priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet recruitment goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned functional areas.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and recruitment strategies tailored to managed care functions.
- Conduct initial phone screens and coordinate interview logistics.
- Draft and extend offer letters and manage pre-employment processes.
- Collaborate with the Employee Experience team to support onboarding and orientation, to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Data and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ATS/TA files.
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics and dashboards.
- Analyze data to identify trends and improve recruitment strategies.
- Ensure timely dispositioning of candidates and closure of requisitions.
- Collaborate with the Sr. TA Specialist to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, with regards to recruitment/talent acquisition.
Intern, Fellow, and Temp Program Management
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for interns, fellows, and temporary staff, including those supporting health care operations.
- Partner with hiring managers to define project scopes and timelines.
- Manage communication and documentation for short-term hires.
- Monitor program effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
Secondary Functions
- Support other Human Resources projects and initiatives as needed.
- Adhere to work performance norms and attendance expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
