Divisional Director of Operations

Multiple Locations (Remote)

This Is What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the company’s overall vision and goals, ensuring these are communicated and executed across all divisions.
  • Collaborate with other business departments and senior leadership to define the long-term vision for the company, setting priorities and objectives that guide the direction of the business.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify growth opportunities, including potential new markets, services, or innovations that align with company strengths and market demands.
  • Lead the development of strategic plans for the division, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with other divisional directors to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts across the company, avoiding silos and promoting unified strategies.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across divisions, ensuring that all parts of the organization contribute to overall company success.
  • Identify and promote best practices across divisions to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Promote a culture of innovation within the division, encouraging the exploration of new technologies, processes, and business models that can benefit the entire company.
  • Mentor and develop leaders within the division, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent capable of driving company-wide initiatives.
  • Influence the company culture by promoting values and behaviors that align with the company’s mission and vision, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Oversee the financial planning and budget allocation for the division, ensuring resources are aligned with strategic priorities and company-wide objectives.
  • Participate in company-wide investment decisions, assessing the potential impact on the division and the broader organization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the division or the company as a whole, ensuring that strategies are resilient and adaptable.
  • Ensures that the division adheres to all regulatory requirements, working with compliance teams to maintain high standards across the company.
  • Contribute to the development of corporate policies and governance structures that support the company’s strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote and ensure ethical business practices across the division and the company, setting a standard for integrity and accountability.
  • Regularly report to the senior team and board members on divisional performance, strategic initiatives, and company-wide impacts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry partners, and customers, ensuring the division’s activities support the company’s reputation and goals.
  • Lead the division’s response to crises, ensuring quick and effective action that aligns with company-wide crisis management plans.
  • Address complex, high-level problems that span across divisions, working with other leaders to develop solutions that benefit the entire organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This Is What It Takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in operations management or related roles, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership position. Experience in the healthcare, retail, or plasma industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of operational processes, with a focus on process optimization and risk management across multiple sites.
  • Expertise in leading large-scale strategic projects and developing programs that drive continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in budget management, financial planning, and investment analysis to ensure divisional financial performance aligns with company objectives.
  • Ability to align divisional strategies with long-term company goals.
  • Strong analytical skills for market analysis and strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to lead large teams and manage senior leaders; expertise in mentoring and developing leaders.
  • Strong collaborative leadership skills to ensure alignment and effective teamwork across multiple sites.
  • Communication skills for conveying complex ideas to senior leadership and stakeholders; skilled in influence and negotiation.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisive, strategic decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to the plasma or healthcare industry.
  • Ability to monitor and ensure compliance across all operational activities, mitigating risk and maintaining ethical standards.
  • Ability to foster innovation and lead change management initiatives that drive growth and operational excellence.
