Data Insights Analyst (Entry Level) (Remote)

Seyfarth is a law firm that emphasizes the importance of great people for their success. As a Data Insights Analyst, you will analyze complex data sets and design innovative analytics solutions to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with clients, Seyfarth Shaw attorneys, and other team members to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of specific legal engagements through data-driven solutions

• Utilize programming and database queries to extract and validate relevant data from a variety of source types (databases, flat files, and external sources as needed)

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and data visualizations that effectively support decisions and drive actions across the organization

• Produce accessible commentary on complex analytics for non-technical audiences with focus on simplicity, clarity, and business impact

• Manage multiple projects concurrently, juggling priorities, deadlines and essential duties for each project

Qualifications:

-Required:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or other analytical discipline

• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, business analytics, or data science role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI

• Knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write stored procedures, triggers, analytic/windowing functions, and tuning

• Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: R, Python, Java

• Ability to work both independently and in diverse teams with minimal supervision

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to distill complex concepts into simple messages across multiple teams and leadership
