Ocean Project Consultant - Brand Designer

Pisces is hiring a Visual Brand Designer to support our growing portfolio of ocean projects. This is a part-time, contract position (up to 20 hours/week) with the potential to grow into a full-time salaried role in 2026.

This role is ideal for a strong visual designer who’s excited to work on purposeful branding projects, help build ocean impact brands, and grow strategic expertise over time. You’ll work closely with Pisces leadership to create the visual systems and assets that help our clients, and Pisces itself, stand out and have impact.

Responsibilities

• Design brand identity systems (logos, colour palettes, typography, usage guidelines)
• Create clear, compelling brand guidelines and visual toolkits
• Design internal and client-facing pitch decks, reports, and presentation materials
• Apply and adapt brand systems across various formats and platforms
• Contribute to the evolution of the Pisces brand identity
• Support storytelling and branding projects with strong visual thinking

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in brand identity and visual design
• A portfolio that shows strong layout, typography, and identity system design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent tools
• Detail-oriented individual who is able to produce polished design work with minimal oversight
• Ability to take creative direction and apply feedback constructively Interest in brand strategy and storytelling is a plus (but can be developed over time)
• Bonus: Experience working with mission-driven, environmental, or ocean-focused projects

Compensation & Benefits

• $26/hour + 4% vacation pay (up to 20 hours/week)
