Lumina Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Remote Dental Scheduler to work from home. Qualified candidates will support our mobile dental team by coordinating the pre-scheduling process for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care settings. This role involves managing dental pre-authorizations, obtaining medical orders from facilities, and collecting treatment consents from responsible parties.
Position Overview
Responsible for tracking dental pre-authorizations, requesting and following up on medical orders from healthcare facilities, and contacting responsible parties to obtain treatment consent. All information will be accurately documented in Denticon, our dental practice management system. This is a fully remote position that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a quiet, professional home workspace.
Qualifications
Our experienced Dentists and Podiatrists perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities and PACE programs throughout California and Arizona. Our remote team plays a key role in ensuring that each patient receives timely, coordinated care.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental setting (administrative or clinical)
- Weekday commitment: No weekends or on-call
- Assist with preparing patients for dental appointments
- Work closely with scheduling and clinical teams to ensure proper documentation is obtained
- Communicate professionally with facilities and responsible parties via phone and email
- Track and manage dental pre-authorization approvals (Notices of Authorization)
- Fax or email medical order requests to facilities and follow up until completed
- Call responsible parties to obtain verbal consent for treatment
- Complete consent forms and document all interactions in Denticon
- Email scheduling department once both consent and medical order are received
- Relay any special instructions from facilities or responsible parties to scheduling team
- Maintain accurate, timely records and follow all compliance and confidentiality protocols
- Provide administrative support to internal teams
- Participate in required company training
- Perform only duties permitted within the scope of your experience and role
- Minimum 2 years of dental office experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong follow-up abilities
- Experience with Denticon or similar dental software preferred
- Basic computer literacy required (email, document handling, data entry)
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet, secure home workspace
