Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to needs to deliver on all the core BA Services, Project Management, and Change Management. Requires an individual who is a quick learner, a self-starter, great at relationship building, being able to influence and gain agreement on a project approach. Someone who has strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be strong at using the entire MS Office Suite and Visio.



Responsibilities:

• Deliver all core BA services, Project Management, and Business Change Management. Required to facilitate meetings in person and/or virtually. Work in a hybrid work model with the requirement to be in the office a minimum of twice per month.

• Quick learner, a self-starter, great at relationship building, being able to influence and gain agreement on a project approach. Someone who has strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Must be strong at using the entire MS Office Suite and Visio.

• Examples of deliverables required are current state and future state process maps, project plans, business change management plans, developing presentations for steering committees, preparing business cases, risk and issue logs, decision logs, statements of work, etc.


Qualifications:

This role requires individuals who have had industry experience in BA lead roles. Further clarification on the skills and abilities required is:

• Demonstrated ability to anticipate, organize and prioritize work to meet both short- and long-term goals and outcomes.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work.

• Ability to identify tasks, negotiate and accept responsibilities and coordinate and provide direction to key stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to listen, clarify and comprehend information.

• Demonstrated ability to appropriately prepare and present complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.


Interpersonal

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with individuals, teams, and diverse groups at various levels of the organization in an objective and respectful manner, consistently displaying professionalism, discretion, and patience.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain personal and team effectiveness by adapting and adjusting to changes and difficult situations.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and document business problems and design an approach to solve them using established business process improvement methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate.

• Working knowledge of project management principles and techniques.


Decision Making / Problem Solving

• Demonstrated ability to critically think through problems to formulate practical solutions.


Customer Service

• Demonstrated ability to be customer focused and service oriented


Technical knowledge/Skills

• General knowledge of how to gather and translate business and non-functional requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Demonstrated ability to use MS Office products.

• Must be strong at using the entire MS Office Suite and Visio

Change Management

• The ability to effectively manage change across different stakeholder groups
