About The Role

The Data Analyst at Crete PA will be instrumental in transforming complex financial and operational data into actionable insights that support decision-making across various internal departments. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, business understanding, and effective communication skills to develop compelling visualizations and reports for stakeholders at all levels.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in data manipulation and visualization, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and leadership, to ensure data initiatives align with organizational goals. This position offers the flexibility of remote work or working within the East Coast time zone, providing an excellent opportunity for a professional seeking a dynamic role within a growing organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as CFA, CPA, or data analytics certifications are a plus
  • 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within professional services, financial services, or consulting environments
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, HRIS, CRM platforms, or financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Effective time management skills utilizing project management tools to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using modern BI tools to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data processes, automate repetitive tasks, and improve data quality through innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accountants, consultants, and senior leadership to align data initiatives with business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies regarding data handling, confidentiality, and security
  • Maintain and update data models and visualizations to support ongoing reporting needs
  • Assist in developing data governance standards and best practices across the organization
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance data literacy within the company
