About Trove Recommerce
Recognized in 2020 by FastCo as one of the world's most innovative companies, Trove powers resale for the world's most inspired brands and retailers. We provide brands with the technology and logistics to own the secondary market for their products. With our white-label capabilities, our partners reap the rewards of managing their own resale market by accelerating long-term revenue, increasing customer loyalty, gaining new customers and boosting store and site traffic. Resale is a revenue and customer engagement opportunity growing at 5 times the rate of e-commerce and 21 times the rate of traditional retail. We power in-store and online retail for leaders such as Patagonia, REI, Eileen Fisher, Arc'teryx, Allbirds, Carhartt, Michael Kors, Levi's, and more.
About the Product Manager - Commerce and AI Technology Role
In this position, you will be responsible for driving the evolution of Trove's ecommerce storefront technology and capabilities – currently powering over 50 branded resale programs – with an orientation toward artificial intelligence applications and tools. You will own Trove's resale ecommerce products end-to-end, launching new, large-scale ecommerce offerings, owning the conversion optimizations, site designs and feature set, and collaborating with cross-functional and client teams to prioritize roadmap initiatives.
Additionally, you will use artificial intelligence tools to further optimize Trove's offerings, and to build tooling that can be used by internal team members and clients to accelerate their development and efforts.
Your strong written communication skills will be essential in translating complex ideas and projects into clear and concise visions for products you own. Additionally, your analytical and entrepreneurial abilities will be used to rapidly enhance Trove's existing storefront technologies and prototype new technologies and tools.
This is a highly critical and strategic role, as we believe delivering scalable and customer-obsessed storefronts is critical to seizing the re-commerce market. We need a very strong product leader to realize this aspiration. To thrive in this role, you'll need to demonstrate a b2b mindset, along with grit, entrepreneurialism, resourcefulness, and resilience, as you'll be tackling many competing priorities.
What You'll Do
- Drive the long term vision and roadmap prioritization for ecommerce digital products, storefront technology, selling channels, and other customer-facing experiences.
- Collaborate with existing and prospective clients to understand their visions and bring them to life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client management, operations, engineering, and UX design, to define and execute a strategic vision.
- Prototype and build AI tools, both individually and with your engineering scrum team.
- Serve as a thought leader internally and externally, leveraging your e-commerce and AI expertise to lead the evolution of Trove's storefront technology and capabilities.
- Act as the voice of the B2B and B2C customer in product design, gathering direct feedback from customers and brand partners in the market. You will need to be obsessed with the customer's needs and desires at every turn.
- Define go-to-market strategies for launching new, large-scale e-commerce offerings.
- Take ownership of the P&L for the e-commerce product and program. Drive both top-line and bottom-line growth through technology, AI, product, and conversion enhancements.
- Translate complex ideas and projects into clear and concise strategies. Driving alignment of those strategies internally and externally with both tactical stakeholders and C-suite level executives will be critical.
- Analyze your own reporting to inform decision-making and drive product strategy.
- Navigate through difficult and messy work without a predefined roadmap.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product management
- Preference for a focus on artificial intelligence and/or e-commerce.
- Proven track record of rapidly developing prototypes, and launching new, large-scale e-commerce offerings.
- Experience working with the Shopify ecosystem, including storefronts and apps.
- Demonstrated analytical and technical abilities, including experience building reporting and conducting data analysis. Reviewing API docs and JSON schemas, and using AI tools to build prototypes should come natural to you.
- A passion for AI, using it to write PRDs, vibe code, etc.
- Experience managing engineering projects; i.e. assisting in tracking goals/timelines, writing technical acceptance criteria, prioritization of sustainment work, etc.
- Strong written communication skills, with the experience presenting large-scale strategies to internal and external executives.
- Grit and resilience, with a track record of overcoming a variety of challenges.
- Experience writing code in standard languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Liquid, etc.)
- Technology startup experience or successful entrepreneurial side-project.
- Familiarity with the circular economy.
- Flexible Remote Workplace - Trove's flexible schedule and remote workplace allows employees more freedom in their schedule, which is invaluable when it comes to attending to the needs of personal and work life needs.
- Flexible PTO - Our flexible vacation company policy allows employees to take leave as they need.
- 401K - Employees can set aside pre-tax dollars to invest in a qualified retirement investment plan.
- Medical/Dental/Vision plan options
- Equity/Share Options - The longer the employee works, the more stocks become available to purchase.
- Learning Fund - Exempt employees have access to a pool of funds to support execution of their self-development goals and objectives.
- Partner Discounts - Enjoy eligibility for Pro Accounts and various partner discounts from Patagonia, Arcteryx and Eileen FIsher
- Mission Driven - Work alongside passionate people to build the leading recommerce infrastructure and the circular economy.
