Associate Project Manager - Remote

Position Overview:

The Associate Project Manager supports the planning and execution of business or service related projects within the Community Engagement division. Under the direction of the Lead Project and Portfolio Manager, this role coordinates project activities, facilitates communication with stakeholders and vendors, monitors risks, and tracks progress using Monday.com. In addition to project support, the Project Manager helps maintain and enhance the division’s Monday.com workspace, providing user support and assisting with platform optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the delivery of technical and non-technical projects by applying effective project management practices.
• Develops and maintains key project documentation with appropriate guidance, including charters, scopes, timelines, and communication plans.
• Prepares meeting agendas, notes and tracking action items through completion.
• Supports the administration, organization, on-boarding, and maintenance of the Community Engagement (CE) workspace in Monday.com.
• Serves as point of contact for troubleshooting, user support, issue resolution.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting or managing projects.
• Foundational knowledge or training in project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including in remote or distributed environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive communication style.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply creativity and teamwork to resolve challenges.
• Proficiency with standard office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google Workspace) and ability to quickly learn new applications.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working with appropriate guidance and autonomy.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project management training or certifications such as CAPM, PMP, Lean, or similar.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, Trello, or JIRA.
• Experience with business process documentation, such as writing requirements or mapping workflows.
• Basic understanding of advanced networking, identity and access management (IAM), cloud computing, or related technologies.
• Familiarity with the higher education and research community.
• Knowledge of Internet2 services and solutions.

Salary Range / Pay Grade:

$68,800 - $103,200 / B-5

Starting pay is typically from the minimum up to the midpoint of the grade range and varies based on experience.
