From accounting to tax, treasury, planning and budgeting, our group supports the business to make sure SurveyMonkey grows and stays healthy, whilst providing opportunity to be challenged and learn across a depth of areas. Reporting to the Senior Technical Accountant, you are a self-motivated contributor with working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC Reporting, and internal controls. If you're ready to bring your strategic finance skills to SurveyMonkey, we want to hear from you.

  • Support the monthly closing activities, with a focus on debt accounting (ASC 470), lease accounting (ASC 842), equity accounting (ASC 718), and capitalized software (ASC 350). This includes preparing journal entries and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations as well as ad-hoc analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining processes behind internal control scoping, rationalization, and compliance.
  • Help evaluate new accounting standards (new ASUs) and non-standard transactions (e.g. equity grants, lease modifications, acquisitions, impairment assessments).
  • Help with ad-hoc technical accounting issues; research, document, record and communicate technical accounting matters.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of accounting or audit experience
  • Experience applying U.S. GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with Netsuite is preferred
