About the Role:

Our HR Generalist will help drive an efficient, seamless, and human employee experience by optimizing core people processes, programs, and technologies. As an HR Generalist, you will ensure excellence in HR systems, compliance, data and workplace operations all while being the first point of contact for all workforce needs and playing a business partner to your leaders. This is a small team, we need a team player who is not afraid to take on what is needed for the better of the greater organization/team. Although there are a variety of responsibilities, this role will have a strong orientation towards payroll, contract management, HRIS and compensation.

What you'll do:

Business Partnership

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to assigned departments and employee groups (culture squad & tacos included), understanding team goals, workflows, and talent needs.
  • Translate business challenges into people strategies that support performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Be a model employee for our employees and act as a first point of contact for questions across the employee lifecycle. This includes managing the People Ops inbox and resolving issues promptly with our stakeholders.
  • Support full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leaves, performance, compliance.
  • Partner on annual processes like compensation review, engagement surveys, and talent reviews

Compliance & Contract Management

  • Ensure adherence to applicable employment laws and internal policies.
  • Owner/project manager of people operations contracts, paperwork and policies (including commission plans).

People Ops Analytics & Systems

  • Leverage data and build dashboards to provide insights into key People Ops metrics.
  • Own People Ops Systems & sites, their optimizations and effectiveness. Constantly pushing to make sure we are doing things as fast and effectively as possible (Trinet, Radford & Leapsome).
  • Responsible for preparing and processing employee payrolls.

Who you are:

  • Must have PEO experience.
  • Must have multi state and Tech experience.
  • Ability to balance empathy with business pragmatism.
  • Comfort with HR tech platforms.
  • Proven experience using data to influence and drive decisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices in a national and/or remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, by putting our stakeholder experience first.
  • Ability to problem solve by showing proactive curiosity, resourcefulness, analytical thinking and ownership mentality towards your work.
