Hiring from: Canada

This is a remote contract role paid in USD. We’re ideally looking for someone based in Canada (especially Ontario), but are also open to exceptional candidates in the U.S. or Latin America.

We believe that in a world of digital overload, customers crave genuine connections and delightful experiences. Our fun, smart, and driven team is passionate about delivering on this mission and helping our clients drive more customer acquisition and retention via Email and SMS marketing.

Job Description

Mineral.io (http://mineral.io) is looking for an Account Manager to handle our most important relationships - our clients.

We are a full-service email marketing agency and Klaviyo Elite Partner servicing DTC brands in the US and abroad. We know retention marketing strategy – and the technology that powers it – cold, and we lean on this expertise to help brands reach their true potential. This is a fully remote position! You'll be starting part-time at 20 hours a week with the opportunity to move to full-time as soon as possible.

The job is very simple - ready?

  • Be awesome for our clients.
  • Understand what they need to grow.
  • Work with our team to give it to them.

This is NOT an entry-level role. Success necessitates amazing people skills, digital marketing chops, and superior organizational and communication skills. We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves and bring positivity, curiosity, and good energy to the work every day.

  • You will guide our clients through phases of rapid growth.
  • You will be their best friend.
  • You will chide them when they go astray.
  • You will celebrate their wins.
  • You will understand them, their business, their goals, and their customer base as well (if not better) than they do.

Now the nitty-gritty.

The Position

As an Account Manager, you will oversee our agency-client relationships, devise Email and SMS marketing strategies to suit each client’s needs and lead every part of our team – from the copywriters to the technical experts – to ensure we hit our deadlines and deliver excellent results. You are the GLUE that keeps the entire delivery team and client working together. You, my friend, matter.

To succeed, you should have a thorough understanding of email marketing and the "customer lifecycle journey," along with substantial experience with Klaviyo or similar CRMs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years experience with Klaviyo – Driving results for our clients is the most important thing we do. You must have experience creating email marketing strategies and be comfortable working in Klaviyo. You should love testing and using data to develop your strategy.
  • Fluent in English with a High EQ – Since you will be having weekly calls with American clients, you should be fluent in English. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also crucial. FT/PT US/Canada/Central and South America only.
  • Next-level time management Skills – You’ll be expected to juggle your own work schedule along with the schedules of team members operating across many different time zones. Working early EST hours may be required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills – Account Managers are great notetakers and comfortable conversationalists who intuitively understand how to best communicate with clients. Whether you’re writing a quick email or hopping on an hour-long call, you should be able to get your point across quickly and clearly. You’ll need terrific time management skills to hit deadlines and deliver excellent results.
  • 2+ years experience in Account Management (or comparable consultancy experience)
  • Experience in and an obsession with marketing and branding – you love working with consumer brands and building relationships with customers
  • A great strategic mind. You love finding new ways to achieve our goals and thinking through new projects.
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce marketing and tactics.
  • Must have an eagle eye for detail.
  • Natural conversationalists who intuitively understand how to communicate.
  • You should be technical enough to communicate complex ideas to technicians and responsible enough to do your own quality control.

Responsibilities

  • You'll attend client-facing meetings (PST and EST timezones) and take notes on calls
  • You'll communicate with clients for approvals and onboarding tasks in ClickUp
  • You'll request missing assets and approvals (from the clients) for the creative team
  • You'll organize your team's workflow across multiple accounts
  • You'll build and deploy email campaigns and automated flows that meet business and marketing objectives
  • You'll storyboard email marketing campaigns & automated flows to determine a strategy for calls-to-action offers, and messaging
  • You'll manage the email deployment workflow and calendar, including management/collection of creative and copy
  • You'll delegate and create action items for both your team AND your clients
  • You'll ensure deadlines are met by the team while considering their bandwidth
  • You'll maintain a strong relationship between clients and teammates
  • You'll oversee day-to-day email campaign execution, sometimes within tight deadlines, including set-up, segmentation, scheduling, testing, tagging, deployment, and reporting/analytics
  • You'll take charge of regular reporting on multiple accounts
  • You'll create and organize employee SOPs to increase team efficiency
  • You'll be vocal about your bandwidth, insight, thoughts, opinions, dreams, and more because you want to grow in your role, reach your optimal potential, and comfortably (frazzle-free!) bring only your best to the table
  • You'll be responsive via Slack for team collaboration to crush the day-to-day!
