What you'll do
We are looking for a Part-Time Contracts Lawyer who will work roughly 3-10 hours/week managing ad-hoc requests focused on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts. They ensure contracts are legally sound, compliant with regulations, and protect company interests. They may also help resolve disputes or assist in litigation involving contracts. You will be the primary contact for any and all contract types including Delivery, Payment, Employment, Liability, etc.
You will have the opportunity to convert to a permanent, full-time position at some point in the future if it is mutually beneficial.
Where you'll work
This role will be fully remote and you will work on an as-needed basis from your home location.

Responsibilities
- Drafting and Review Contracts: Creating and reviewing various types of contracts, including employment agreements, real estate transactions, non-disclosure agreements and service agreements
- Negotiating Contract Terms: Working with clients, vendors, and other parties to negotiate and finalize contract terms
- Providing Legal Advice: Offering legal advice on contract interpretation, obligations, and potential risks
- Managing Contract Disputes: Resolving contract-related disputes and issues through internal collaboration and customer communication
- Maintaining Records: Keeping organized records of executed contracts and related documents
- Legal Research: Conducting legal research to support contract development and negotiations.
- 5-7+ years of experience working with high-growth medium sized businesses
- Working knowledge of diverse array of legal fields
- Strategic business acumen and ability to advise on decisions that balance risk and business priorities.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage external counsel and drive results
