Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support a prominent Los Angeles firm managing complex litigation matters. This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while maintaining high standards of responsiveness and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, and reports.
  • File legal documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filings via court portals (e.g., CM/ECF, PACER).
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and other case-related events, and ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, maintaining case files, and coordinating logistics.
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain and organize case files using cloud-based document management systems.
  • Process and track billing entries, expense reports, and attorney time logs.
  • Provide administrative support such as preparing engagement letters, managing e-signatures via DocuSign, and assisting with client onboarding.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules (federal and state).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal software (e.g., Clio, NetDocuments, or similar).
  • Familiarity with electronic court filing systems (eFiling).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office environment.

Location: Mostly remote (in-office presence may be required once a week for team meeting in downtown Los Angeles office)

Shift: 12:30pm - 9pm

Salary: $90k - $110k annually depending on years of relevant experience.
