We are seeking a professional, friendly, and tech-savvy Healthcare Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our members, vendors, and partners. The ideal candidate will have prior experience using RingCentral or similar cloud-based phone systems, a strong background in customer service, and the ability to manage high call volumes efficiently and courteously.

Key Responsibilities

Phone & Communication:

  • Answer and route a high volume of incoming calls using the RingCentral phone system
  • Screen and direct calls appropriately, taking accurate messages when needed
  • Monitor voicemails and ensure timely callbacks and follow-ups
  • Provide information to callers regarding clinic hours, services, policies, and appointments

Patient Interaction

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Check patients in and out, ensuring all information is accurate and complete
  • Assist with scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
  • Handle inquiries related to insurance, billing, and basic medical services

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain front desk operations, including faxing, scanning, and filing documents
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or other payments
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient records in compliance with HIPAA
  • Support clinical and administrative teams as needed with additional tasks

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
  • Proven experience using RingCentral or similar VoIP communication platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using basic office software (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace)

Preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
